The oxygen mask covered her face, the machines beeped in a steady, lifeless rhythm. To everyone watching, it was obvious — she was in critical condition, barely holding on after the car accident.
But the truth was… there had been no accident at all.
She had planned everything.
Over the past few months, her husband had changed. He came home late, locked his phone with new passwords, and left frequently on vague “business trips.”
Suspicion slowly suffocated her. And eventually, she needed to know who the man beside her really was.
A close friend of hers — a doctor — agreed to help.
When her husband heard about the accident, he rushed to the hospital. But the doctor misled him, explaining her condition was extremely serious, that she was in a coma, and that staying at the hospital wouldn’t help — they would contact him if anything changed.

The next day, he returned.
In the corridor, the doctor met him with a grave expression.
“I’m sorry… your wife won’t come out of the coma. Her body is shutting down. You should prepare for the worst.”
She expected tears. Panic. Maybe even rage.
Instead, his expression changed.
He looked… relieved.
“I see…” he said calmly — far too calmly.
In that moment, everything became clear.
A few hours later, he came back again.
This time, he wasn’t alone.
A young, well-dressed woman stood beside him — his mistress — and with them was her mother. All three were in high spirits, even laughing as they walked down the corridor.

“Soon everything will be ours,” the mistress whispered. “That apartment alone is worth a fortune.”
“We’ll sell it and move abroad,” the man replied as they stepped into the room.
The machines continued their steady rhythm. She lay still on the bed. 😥😥
“Well, my dear,” the husband said with a smirk as he approached her, “you probably can’t hear me, but life goes on.”
The mistress leaned closer and murmured softly:
“Let her go peacefully.”
At that moment, the sound of the machine suddenly changed.
And then—
her eyes opened.
Everyone froze.
She pulled off the oxygen mask, and what happened next shocked the entire hospital.
“Yes… life does go on,” she said calmly.
Liana’s mother stepped back. Arman’s face turned pale.
“You… you were in a coma…”
“No, Arman,” she said evenly. “I was simply testing what kind of person you really are.”
The door opened.
Two police officers entered, followed by the hospital’s lawyer.
Ani’s voice grew stronger.
“While you were here dividing my inheritance, I had already transferred the apartment. Everything has been donated to a charitable foundation. And our conversation…” she glanced toward the small camera in the corner, “has been fully recorded.”

Arman stood speechless.
“You planned to sell my home and start a new life after my ‘death.’ So I decided to start mine — without you.”
Liana slowly stepped back. Her mother’s hands trembled.
Ani sat up, now fully in control.
“Today, I was born a second time. The first was when I believed you. The second… was when I saw who you truly are.”
The laughter that once filled the room vanished, replaced by a cold, heavy silence.
The performance was over.
And real life was only just beginning.
